On July 19th, Shalrie was selected to participate in the 2010 MLS All-Star Game. The 2010 All-Star selection was Shalrie’s seventh consecutive (2004-2010), and marks a rare feat in professional sports.
The 2010 MLS All-Star game will take place Wednesday July 28, 2010 at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. The MLS All-Star’s will take on fabled English club Manchester United. The game can be seen live on ESPN2 and Telefutura, and there is an expected crowd of over 70,000.

On June 24th Shalrie Joseph was nominated for the 2010 ESPY Award for Best MLS Player. This was Shalrie’s first ESPY nomination, and the award was presented live July 14th on ESPN.
The ESPY’s is an annual award event created by ESPN to honor athletics. The ESPY’s are considered to be the Academy Awards of sports.

Shalrie has been named to the MLS All-Decade XI.
