Shalrie Named to his Fourth MLS Best XI Team

Shalrie has been named to the 2009 MLS Best XI Team. The MLS Best XI team reconizes the top eleven players in the league for the MLS season. Shalrie is joined on the team by Zach Thornton (GK), Geoff Cameron (D), Wilman Conde (D), Chad Marshall (D), Dwayne De Rosario (M), Landon Donovan (M), Stuart Holden (M), Freddie Ljundberg (M), Conor Casey (F), and Jeff Cunningham (F).
This is the fourth Best XI team Shalrie has made - a New England Revolution franchise record (Twellman and Dempsey have both made the team twice).
Shalrie is the only New England Revolution player named to the Best XI Team. Shalrie is also a finalist for the 2009 MLS MVP Award - there are 2 other finalists (Jeff Cunningham and Landon Donovan). The 2009 MLS MVP winner will be announced on Thursday, November 19th.
